Can a UPS store box address be used to get a Tx drivers license?

Alrighty. I'll start getting something here so I'll be ready when I go in person. Have to schedule an appointment. Looks like they are about 2 weeks out where I am.

 

what county? in Harris i found a dedicated CDL DMV, next day and same week apts for CDL and hazmat testing where every other location is weeks and weeks out. the one on Gesner Rd 77071

 

I'm on the other side. El Paso 79915. But idk, maybe I can get something on a walk in but first I got to get some documents for them to be ready.

 

dude I miss tf out of El Paso, driving trans mountain to and from work every day in 20 minutes with zero traffic, like ever, in perfect weather, 24/7. today it took 1.5 hours to go 27 miles at 7am. I'm gonna get a bike just to lane split this mess

 

Yep. People drive a little funny here but it was like 20 mins to get to the other side. And we have Mexico to party at and all that so yea go El Paso!

 

My state which is not Texas, WILL NOT let CDL holders update or change their physical address EXCEPT in person. My state requires 2 items addressed to you at your physical address plus other items that document your identity. They don't ask for 2 items because they really mean only 1 item. Maybe Texas is different. It is a different country in some ways.

 

Why are you so intent on getting the answer you want to hear from random internet strangers instead of just looking at the links directly from the Texas government? Which, by the way, clearly spell out the requirements? Or better yet...just call them and ask. Whatever workaround you're trying to accomplish will not work.

It doesn't matter what anyone here says. If you don't bring the correct documents with you when you walk into that office they are going to tell you to kick rocks.

Telling the lady behind the counter that "you heard on the internet" will not get you any closer to your goal.

 

Lane Splitting is illegal in Texas.

 

And should be everywhere else, too.
