But, GA used to have a slanted curb on lots of it's old 2 lanes. Made that water run down the hillside in the roadbed, not the terrible erosion problem. IA had them also on 218 from Keokuk up to 30 at Iowa City. Nice when iced over, just hook the R steer tire up against it and R drive outside dual would push away and you could go for miles not steering. Where Musk got the self driving idea I think.

Sounds like a Mainline haul road. A skidder would haul you to the top & let you goooooo. Combination of a roller coaster, toboggan run. Just add mud & snow for fun. The steep parts were Beaver slides, a controlled slide if you will.

I gotta admit, I was thinking of you while I was driving them.....

"This must be what the US Routes were like before they realigned them...'Talk to me, Roger...talk to me'..."

But thru the tain, fog, and other road user stupidity, I gotter DONE!

I stopped at the Tennessean Travel Center, I-65 x22 in TENNESSEE, because I had not yet eaten a meal today.

The blue services sign at the exit said Pop's BBQ was in the same direction as the travel plaza.

Pop's is INSIDE the travel plaza!:headbang:

Sit down dining available, grab n go hot case near the entrance.

I had the pulled pork and brisket platter, comes w/ two sides.

Sauce is self-applied at the table. Three Pop's sauces in ascending levels of heat. I used the middle one.

This establishment meets the requirements for the Homeskillet BBQ Seal of Approval.

Only one gripe, there's no combo platter that includes ribs. Ya gotta get a half rack or full rack.

There is also a soft serve place there.

I got what I thought would be a small cone.

    It was not.

    But it was delicious!

I'm stuffed, and I'm done driving today. Posting up right here.
