I’ve found that for the most part you just have to say F it and work your way in. I’m patient to a point, but I’ll nose right up to a vehicle at a pump and make my presence known. Here around Portland people will just sit at the pumps and not care one bit.

 

That's interesting - is that a regional thing (the shortage)? The prices here have been slipping down.

 

Yes. The story I heard, so who knows if it’s true, was that someone fell off scaffolding at a facility shut down for maintenance so then OSHA came in and wouldn’t let them start back up until they were done. But I know around here everyone was having trouble getting product from down south. I’m 7 miles from the rack at Geneva and last week I was going down into Kansas and bringing gas and diesel back into Nebraska.

Iowa, Nebraska, and Kansas are on an hours of service exemption for fuel haulers until the end of June.

 

You would make a great car hauler.

and yes the general population is absolutely clueless.

Been raining off and on for three days now. So the truck is looking tip top. Lol

 

Having that pump hose fully in the air would make me nervous. I’d rather have part of it on the ground. That’s a lot of weight pumping through it.
