I’m starting this thread to reach anyone who’s ever been wronged by Mercer Transportation — not just drivers stuck in lease-purchase traps, but anyone who feels they were taken advantage of while working with them.

    Here’s what I’m looking for:

    • If you ran loads for Mercer and weren’t paid what you were owed

    • If they charged you unauthorized fees or deductions

    • If they stiffed you on final settlements after you left

    • If they terminated you for no good reason and then came after you in court

    • Or if you saw any other kind of abuse, dishonesty, or shady practices while leased on or hauling Mercer freight
In my case, it started with a lease-purchase — they terminated me, refused to accept final payments, repossessed the trailer, then sued me anyway for the full trailer value plus $60,000+ in inflated legal fees, even using a handwritten judgment amount that no court ever awarded. But I know there are other drivers and owner-ops who’ve been hit in different ways.

I’m not just looking for lease-purchase horror stories. If Mercer screwed you in any way, I want to hear about it.

    Here’s the bigger plan:
I’m putting together a list of drivers and contractors who were abused, scammed, or taken advantage of by Mercer — with the goal of turning all of this over to a class action attorney who can take it from there. The more of us who speak up, the stronger the case.

If you’ve got a story, post here or message me privately. If you’re reading this and never dealt with Mercer yourself, but you know someone who did — send them this thread. I want to reach as many drivers, contractors, and former Mercer partners as possible.

We all know the games these big companies play — let’s not let them keep getting away with it in the dark.

How many times are you going to post the same thing here? Repeating yourself over and over doesn't help your cause. It makes you look obsessive and crazy. This diminishes your case by hurting your character.

You’re right, I have posted similar points in different threads — and that’s intentional. My whole point is to reach as many drivers as possible who might have gone through something similar with Mercer. If it seems repetitive, that’s because this is a pattern of behavior that keeps repeating in how they treat drivers, too.

If you’re not interested, that’s fine — just skip my posts. But if you’ve got something to add about Mercer’s practices, or if you know someone else who got burned, I’d like to hear it.

BTW with regards to your report, the way you wanted the thread title worded was too long. You ran out of space. I edited off the last sentence for appearance’s sake.

Short version, my 386 Peterbilt spun a main and was done. I was under dispatch on a load to PA, truck died near Ft Worth and I got the load repowered. The other owner delivered the trailer to Mercer in Louisville but they tried to charge me a re-decking fee of over $3k.
    I refused to pay them.
