I always figured if he was fast enough to catch me; and had the inclination to pass, he should take his shot and get on out of the way.
Assuming there are other lanes to use. If we are on a two lane, he can cool his jets back there until I stop to eat/fuel, and if can eat/fuel faster than me, then he can pull out first. I was never to concerned about them behind, I just drove my truck my pace and my way.
