I forgot about him. I respected his ability, but I'm afraid that's where it stops.

It does look a bit overbuilt, but, weight wise there's not much difference. That lower rake on the Herd, I could see that helping to keep an animal from going under the truck.

Over here in thick deer country, the #'s of service calls on brake chambers, chamber air lines, wiring, I even had to pull deer parts out of a driveshaft once.

Slightly higher initial investment, but I feel it's worth it.

Either is better than factory. It feels like playing Russian Roulette out where I run. You're gonna hit something, I've just been very lucky to avoid major damage so far. I should've done it long ago.

I know I'll get mostly personal opinion but 6.4L Hemi or 6.2L Ford?

Not really interested in a diesel. I really don't want to deal with DEF or an engine bay crammed full of crap.

If both of those are V-8’s, wouldn’t you have the crammed engine bay either way?

What’s your take on the 7.3 gas… if it’s still around that is?

I can see the difference, and I'd go with the Herd. It's boxed in side supports, versus what looks like just guide style holders. Your call of course. The price difference and wait is significant, so it depends on how often you hit livestock and which one you think will hold up better for the money invested.

    Wouldn't say no to a 7.3L

I've just heard the Hemis seem to like to eat cams and lifters. Don't really hear many complaints about the Ford 6.2L.
