Do you guys ever cook in the truck stop showers?

Now that would give whole new meaning to being "salty".

They should have told you that when you described the issue to them, assuming you did describe it. I hate it when TA does that, though, waits forever to say "we can't help you".

I regularly take an extended amount of time in the shower myself. Not because of cooking but because I have a lot of bandages to change when I am in the shower. I wouldn't worry too much about comments here over taking too long. You likely won't see any of these folks at any of the showers, I wouldn't think. Even if you did, you'd not know who they are unless they smell your food cooking and say something then. My only question if I smelled it would be could I have some bacon?

I am amazed how you sneak all this stuff into the shower without anyone looking at you like you could have a bomb or guns in your bag or bags going into the shower.

 

I see guys going into the shower with bags that look like they're stuffed with a month's worth of clothes. Nobody would blink an eye.

 

Cooking in a shower? LOL No offense but I don’t wear flip flops and I am not that whiskey tango.

 

I talked to a loves manager once who said many drivers around 1am and later go in as a man and come out women. Your post just reminded me of that. Lots of weird things happening in showers I guess.

Reminds me of a Waffle House

 

I was at a reststop in Minnesota last winter there was an apparently foreign guy hanging out in the lobby. I went in to use the restroom and he had a pressure cooker set up on the sink with an array of seasonings. That's where you want your food, near the urine and feces, just like home. I don't know why he didn't just plug in in the lobby .

 

More eyes on it. And the pressure cooker is at least sealed.
