Post #26, Did you submit the app for that company? It's right there in Alabama.

I did. Have to wait until Monday to hear anything though. Hopefully it'll be good news and I can get started.

don’t look for a mega carrier if u have a criminal past, look for small mom & pop company’s, they are more forgiving

Depends on the sex offense. People who had an offense like possession of material depicting a minor, they downloaded some files, or maybe they were lewd in public.. these are considered non violent because there is no direct victim they did something violent to.
As for the recidivism rate, for many non violent sex offenses like possession of material or public nudity.. the rate is extremely low.. like next to none. That mainly is because those people made a poor judgement call, or didnt mean to commit the crime.
So the odds of them doing it again are next to nil. BUT there is a higher recidivism for non sex crime and that is because the rules and laws sex offenders have to live by makes it next to impossible to not get a parole violation. Things that any other person wouldnt get in trouble for, but they would. Like buying a new car , not telling your PO etc.. Or making a new social media account or a phone.
People who are sex offenders need jobs too.. and think of this.. a person who is more stable, has work, is plugged back into society, is a person who is more safe compared to a person who cant get any work, and is shunned.
I understand for sexually violent predators , or those with violent sex offenses.. but those with non violent, those are the people who really deserve a second chance.

I mean drunk drivers, DUI all their life busted.. they get more compassion.. even if they ran over some kids and killed them. THat person does a couple years in prison.. gets clean, gets sober, and gets a pat on the back.. great job on getting yourself clean.. lets get you plugged back into society.. here is a job... Even though that person killed a family with his vehicle..
But someone who nude in public or got some files on their computer.. those people dont deserve anything. Its a crazy how people can think.

Half a year now and it seems the OP is long gone.

It is sad that more people don't think about the consequences of their actions before they do the deed.
I'm guilty, as are most or all of you.
