Rates are crashing and fuel to the moon!

Spend a week some day at grocery warehouse. Stick with open deck in my mind.

Fuel is expensive there.

 

fuel is the same price, taxes, carbon tax and regulations are not.

 

Gas ain’t much different than here. $2.97. But that fuel price is to the moon. I think fuel is about 3.30 here

 

We have been bouncing around 3.29 to 3.35 here with .32 state tax.

 

Left 10am Sunday, be home 8pm tonight. 2.5 days off. 3200 miles. Mi-Ga. 2 rd trips. 24 hr. D&H. Light load. Only problem is that it’s 13 hrs each way. Ideally 11 hrs. Less time wasted in sleeper. Otherwise it’s a great run. Always looking for greener pastures. Rather be home every night. I see this summer slipping away already.

 

Received this email from Allen Lund today. One of the cheapest brokers out there is stressing about capacity . This crap about driver shortage just never ends

 

Releasing the cheapest freight available is good in their interest.
