Those inverter generators are actually pretty quiet. I have a 2200 watt generac can just barely hear it running from the truck

 

Bought this a couple years ago for tepee living and it powers the AC and trailer and it’s really quiet— in fact you can forget it’s on and run it out of gas and not realize it till you’re either about to suffocate and die or freeze to death and die
