Friend of mine here in Nevada bought a beautiful used Mercedes for her son.
The car would slam on the brakes when driving 70 mph on the interstate. That would happen at other times also. Once the car stopped on the interstate and he had to flee the vehicle. All the power windows were going up and down at the same time while the brakes were locked.

That’s a problem? That’s an everyday occurrence, in a PACCAR product. I keep my right foot over or on the accelerator, the entire day. The POS will lock the brakes at any opportunity, so I have to be ready to slam the pedal down to override it.

Meanwhile everyone whines and complains how mechanics are out to rip them off. Go ##### at the ####### European engineers that design this junk.

Has anyone ever sued the manufacturers of these "safety" devices after they've caused a wreck? Or, did they lobby Congress for an exemption from liability?

My friend that had problems with the Mercedes she bought for her son made out pretty good.
She hired a lawyer with no upfront fees. The company had to reimburse her for the car, plus some extra, and the lawyer made out very well also.
