This week, the Jennings County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) charged a truck driver who allegedly entered a construction area after bypassing several signs, causing “a significant safety risk.”

JCSO responded to a reported traffic hazard on State Road 7 North at 1 p.m. on June 23.

When deputies arrived, they discovered that a 53 foot semi truck had “unlawfully entered” an active construction zone occupied by multiple dump trucks, heavy machinery, and numerous construction workers.

“The driver had bypassed nine clearly posted warning signs including notices of road closure, detour directions, rumble strips, and multiple barricades before entering the restricted zone,” police said.
JCSO said that the incident posed a “significant safety risk.”

A 22 year old California-based truck driver identified by police as “Ankush” was taken into custody and charged with Reckless Driving (A-Misdemeanor).

What about the guys on here that say speaking, reading, and understanding English doesn't really matter.

They ignore examples such as Asskush and redirect to examples of natural born citizen's antics.

While I agree we have some really stupid Americans, we do not need to add more people to that pool.

We already have too many low IQ individuals as it is. I see zero reason to import more in to take safety sensitive positions.

We aren't saying understanding English doesn't matter. We're saying this rule change does frick all to actually change things and is open to abuse.

    Rideandrepair Thanks this.

Time will tell. Most laws are open to abuse unfortunately.

What it boils down to for ME, is that I'm tired of playing by the rules that a crap load of people don't seem to have to.
DOT physical card, yep, got it. Ask yourself this, if these illegals can get a made up CDL, what are their chances of getting a 2 year card without even showing up?
CDL? Yep, got it and went through a bunch of crap to get it. These A holes simply buy theirs.
At the end of the day, I'm simply tired of playing by the rules when it seems like others don't have to.
I'm not xenophobic or anything. My DIL is from Nicaragua and her 3 daughters are some sort of Heinze 57, and I love them all. My grandson is half black and I love the crap out of him.
So, it's not racism, it's the rules. If I have to pay taxes, you do too. It's the rules.
