Yeah, I don’t see how you get abuse with the ELD. I think it’s a much needed return to flexibility and also it’s a much needed return to treating a professional driver as a professional.

It's just flexibility to keep rates and wages cheap. It makes everybody compete a little harder for the same or worse money. Same old business as usual where drivers work harder for less. The 10 hour rest break was the best regulation they ever changed.

Well luckily nobody can force a driver to split breaks so the ability to ruin your day and possibly week will still be there.
When our HOS exemption goes away next week if I run out of my 14 and have already used my one 16 hour day that means I’m sleeping in the truck. If I sleep in the truck I have to create a log for that day and also the next day.
