I have no problem dealing with people, I am just a bit antisocial at times and I prefer to do my own thing.
Not a follower so to speak and cant stand ignorance hahah
I didnt think about a man camp in the oil fields I was thinking of just the money and hauling non stop.
If I have to camp out there yea I would not want that.
I will look at flatbed a bit more..
just curious if the higher pay between flat bed and reefer is worth all the extra work ?

I've done all the tarping, chaining that's required with flatbed and didn't really look at that as work. Actually kinda' enjoyed it.
I've pulled flatbed and reefers 48 states and Canada and no regrets with either.leedesp Thanks this. -
Try Melton Truck Lines and later, if you want, switch to a reefer company.
You won't go wrong with either right now; Melton or CE England. Either is a good way to get the new career started.leedesp Thanks this. -
Since im already in the door with CR England from school, I may go ahead and do my time with the CRE trainer to get the road experience for a few weeks and then see what they can offer me as far as pay as a solo reefer OTR driver.
You have stirred my curiosity of flat bed now though so that is something I am surely going to look into as an option once it does come to upgrade to a solo driver.Chinatown Thanks this. -
That seems a good plan to me. I love the reefer life and did it for 18 years. If it was so bad, I wouldn't have stuck with it.
Keep up the good work; you're doing just fine.leedesp Thanks this.
