Ever been to Jean's Cottage Inn south of Ahtanum Rd. On the main drag in Union Gap? If they are still open used to put down a really good meal.

Same with Art's and Dot's on 31W ; south of Horse Cave KY, in 1956. Building been torn down over 10 years and a 2 office brick setup now.
Lots of my old places are totally gone or have been developed away.

Does any one here recall/know /ever hear of a shop in Lordsburg, NM. Was an old tin shed, truck shop. Left side/south of US80 WB.
Known by all who run US80 as "One Armed Bill's shop there. Best I recall he was missing his whole left hand; snubbed off just below the joint
I have stood and watched him run the valves on that Avatar Mack, then stand a nickel on the head while it idled. Wrestled the feeler gauge and wrench with right hand, punched it snug with the nub poking the wrench. Set them to pull better, and if you was risky, was said to make one run.

No, I was glad to find a place with truck parking and food. Could be worse.

Too skinny, looks ragged out, and I wouldn’t be seen in public with anybody wearing those ghetto ### black shower shoes.

I was on the ITR yesterday when all of a sudden, the bumps in the road start throwing me outta the seat, and the driveline starts growling.

I cussed the company bean counter long and loud, then pulled into the Love's on Grant Street.

I get out and check, and ALL FOUR bags are flat.

More cussing.....then I duck under the trailer, look at the tractor axles,....and find that the leveling valve link has come off.

Run into Speedco, ask the guy for a 1/4-20 nut, run out to the truck and make repairs.

All good, except the air bag that was NOT replaced has an audible air leak. :banghead: :angryfire:

    It is a repeat but..
You see a starving crippled up dog on the roadside, you pick him up and to the vet. Get him treated and well and take him home...
That dog will never bite you. That is the principal difference between a dog and a man.
