Different varieties, different cuts, different branding. It does make sense.

Meanwhile...*checks trailer* I have a load of sailboat fuel that I'm taking 380 miles to drop and then pick up a load of styrofoam...I may or may not make it home as planned tomorrow...depends on how much mercy DFW shows me..

I will put money on it that you won’t make it home and I can tell you the exact reason why as you had mentioned the DFW area is going to put a monkey wrench into your plans …

Rush hour traffic is light on the day before a holiday. I know it is in Atlanta.

you're probably 100% right. On the one day I want traffic to cooperate, some dude will wreck his #### and close down 35W...

    always works out that way

Snackbar, have you thought of asking dispatch to get on a dedicated account of some sort, that maybe pays better consistently with more time off like in the weekends or something?

You guys always talk about doing that dedicated Walmart run in Cheyenne (or somewhere around there), is there anything like that by where you live in Florida maybe?

if you're in the 2300-2400 weekly mile range anyways, you might as well be home on the weekends if there's a dedicated account or some sorts you could get on.

The only dedicated account in FL is the Costco account out of S. FL and it pays $0.56/mi. All the dedicated accounts at this company pay less per mile than OTR.

And I have no interest in being home more, I don't make money sitting at home. If I wanted a job like that I could go to work for Dollar General. There is a DC 10 miles from my house, but the pay isn't better, and I would have to buy a cheap car to commute back and forth because they don't allow you to take your truck home.

Pretty sad to be married with kids and grandkids and no desire to be home more. No friends at home or hobbies. Money is nice but you have to live too.
