Hi Everyone,
I am new to all of this and wondering what are the best but affordable trucking schools in Arizona. Is there such thing as a grant for trucking school? If so who offers that? Also, I'd like some feedback on the most decent company to work for that starts off with good pay. All advice is GREATLY appreciated.
Thanks!

Good morning and welcome to the forum! You've asked a couple of the questions that are very important for wannabes to get answers to. I know...I'm a wannabe. There a more than a few routes to take to accomplish getting a CDL. Do some reading here on the forum before making a decision which route is best for you. The more reading you do the better prepared you'll be to make a decision.Baack Thanks this.

Southwest Truck Driving School and Western Truck School are in Phoenix, I guess SW dropped a few things that carriers want and may not be approved by the company you go to. There is also SAGE in Kingman that has high marks. Also Glendale C.C.
If you are in Tucson there is American Driving institure, HDS Truck Driving lnstitute, and Phoenix Truck driving School. Also Pima C.C.
You can always get on with a company and attend their own training as well.JustSonny Thanks this. -
American Institute of Technology in Phoenix has a very thorough school with both full and part time classes. The part time course is 200 hours of classroom over ten weeks followed by another 8 weeks with 160 hours on the range and road. I go to the range next week.
It is a bit pricy compared to the prices other's have mentioned, but it seems to be worth it and some companies offer tuition reimbursment to cover alot of it.
I would recommend shopping around. Good luck.
