I like old stuff, but I really have no passion for the resto work. Just not my cup of tea.

But, I dahm sure enjoy and appreciate the finished product. I know the amount of time and effort that goes in to even the smallest details.

I wouldn’t restore it. I’d just get it to the point to where I could drive it cross country. New seats of course. As long as the sheet metal is good (especially the floor) , I’m good.

He use to have a 1937 Ford that was turn key restored, flathead V8. He kept it about 3 years then sold it, not sure how long he will keep the truck or how far he will go with it….

It has some whiskey bumps but still pretty solid. Seats are actually nice shape, look like they have been redone. Needs a fuel tank and new gas lines as well as new brake lines at minimum. She said it had been a few years since it was started but ran good. It should make a nice driver with a little work. I too would probably just clean it up and put some clear on it and enjoy it. Like I told him, these old trucks, cars, and tractors are like a woman…. they’re only original once….

I don’t really mind the resto work, just time consuming for the most part, but time and patience can make them nice. I took my time with the Jeep and I think it turned out pretty nice..
