LAX. Actually I think it was under $100. It was $11 a day.

We've had absolutely the opposite experience with enterprise, and I wouldn't piss in their mouth if their tonsils were on fire.

If I'm going to rent a car then I'm getting all the insurance for peace of mind, generally that's going to up the price quite a bit. No need to be on vacation walking around naked because your trying to save a penny lol. So for a week your looking at around $500 depending on location.

I use my American Express card when I rent a car and AMEX covers any damages. In addition my car insurance will carry over to the rental. I'm not paying the rental company for unneeded insurance. And I get a great rental rate when I reserve the car through AAA. I recently rented a car from Hertz in Eugene, Oregon for $125 for a week.

Every time I get a rental I go around it and point out any damage I see and take photos to document it.
Saves me on a U-Haul rental last year someone dented the corner on the box had pictures of damage the day we picked it up in there lot emailed it to them with time stamp no issues after that.

That's a great rate. I generally just let them carry the insurance/coverage risk as I don't want any potential claims on my personal car insurance.

I do the same. Last time I rented a UHaul truck, about 18 mos. ago, I was warned the manager at the UHaul place is a crook, so I should do an inspection. I told the guy I was going to look over the truck and surprise, he handed me a sheet of specialty stickers and told me to place one each scratch, dent that I found. Also took photos of everywhere I placed the stickers. He was furious and a few hours later called me and demanded I return the truck right then, even though I had another day left to use the truck.

Or, buy their insurance then hit every stationary object you can on the way to the return location.
