And it seems like companies don't care about the "WARN Act" either. Workers show up on a Monday to find a note on the door saying adios.

Simple.....it cost too much to live in California. Hell it costs too much to live just about anywhere in the United States. People aren't spending money because they don't have it. Prices have gone up, and out of most people's reach. The economy was never as good as our leaders wanted us to believe. It's been in decline for some years now. So many folks have debt, I'm not so sure the country ever got out of recession.

This is the worst of the 3 things I'm not liking coming from the new admin. I think things would be picking up by now otherwise.

    bryan21384 Thanks this.

Why would they care, any fines imposed would be reduced in bankruptcy, and if its just a closure and not bankruptcy, the fines are typically so low the company isn't concerned.

The job losses at Ohio Eagle in the article will be minimal, they are being sold to a company that is a Teamster shop so the drivers have to be laid off and then rehired to make sure they get dicked by the union on seniority. the management will all get the axe.
