Glad to hear that you got that kind of mileage out of any steers. I just kind of freaked out today when looking at my records and I realized I've got 140 on one Michelin steer and 110 or so on the other. I didn't think you could really get more than 100k out of any set of steers (this is my first rodeo on this stuff).

60k mile factor steer tire. It did see pretty severe service in the oilfield though.

I don’t care what mileage I get out of a steer after a certain point. I replace them yearly regardless of mileage. Save them for a trailer spare if one catches a sidewalk nail or whatever.
Always run Bridgestone mostly, some Firestone steers. Never anything else.BigHossVolvo Thanks this. -
Mine are getting kind of squirrely. Still plenty of even tread though so that tells me everything is good with the front end of the truck.
Questions, are Firestone or Bridgestone cheaper than Michelin steers? I've only had Michelin since i owned my own truck. If you've run Michelins before how do you think they compare.
OP, sorry for the sidetrack, I hope this helps you too though.Brettj3876 Thanks this. -
950 for a pair of FS591s. Been over a few curbs getting into tight spaces so far so good. Only around 30k so time will tell.86scotty Thanks this.

I tried something yesterday that seemed to help. I am planning to get new steers but I'm getting through my taxes right now and catching up from buying $3600 worth of drives last month.
I did this. I keep my Michelin steers about 110 PSI. I lowered it to 98. Seemed to work pretty well at making them a little less squirrely but I was light too. I'm ready for new ones though. -
This is Yokohama 108R - 60k miles - 30 months

You could always go to a different shop with better choices.
Or is that too sensible?
