Motorcyclist Injured in Accident On I-81 In NY

As a motorcyclist I will be the first to say too many riders are idiots. One of the reasons I no longer ride with anyone else.

 

Be willing to bet he was pissed off being stuck behind 2 trucks so he hammered the throttle to prove a point.

 

You can’t fix stupid

 

Just one more example of why lane splitting should be illegal nationwide. It endangers everybody on the road.

I don't do it, and I won't ride with people who do.

 

The truely sad thing is the family is likely going to try and sue one or both truck drivers for something.....i can just see the argument being made he only lost control because of the bits of tire coming off the one truck. I mean if they can sue an oncoming werner truck for their losing control and crossing the divider for millions of dollars and win....

That said this is why i will never ride a suicide seat. Any kind of accident regardless of who or what caused it is VERY likely to lead to injury or potentially even death. Just not worth it, especially with how many morons you see daily.

 

I don't even ride in the cities anymore. Too many stupid people that don't understand the rules of the road. I pretty much stick exclusively to two lane secondary highways and rural roads now. Although on my most recent ride I almost smoked a cow that walked onto the road right in front of me.
