The problem is not a simple solution he would need a pardon. Those law don't apply retroactively, so lets say they had 100lbs of pounds of pot and your state legalized pot, it doesn't make you a free man. I feel for him that was the most bogus thing put into law to regulate diesel trucks that much because it made diesel trucks lose half there life and constant issues. The cost got carried on to the driver's multiple way from the price tag and the maintenance.

Should jail the stupid mf'rs that designed these systems that are unreliable to the point people are forced to remove them in order to stay in business.

Oooo, worse than ( fill in dictator name) , or so it seems. A local boy, Florence Super Max, where there's like a 2 hour wait for the tennis courts. Big deal, this goes on a lot more than you might think, I have a friend that was a diesel mechanic for like 40 years at a dealer, and had requests all the time to "turn it up". Of course, he never did, but knew who to reference you to. All right, a year in what passes for a jail in the US( put them in one of those urine soaked heck holes in Peru might be a deterrent) pays the fine, and with the lack of qualified mechanics, will be in the black again in no time. Just a bit more quiet as to his customers. I mean, he gets healthcare, dental, 3 meals AND he's still working on what he loves to do. Some punishment. I wonder what that "raid" cost the taxpayers?.:dontknow:

Just like all those speeding tickets I got back when it was speed limit was 55. I think once it went back to 75 they should've reimbursed me.

The solution to this is easy. I’ve got 7 trucks, the oldest being a ‘82 and the newest a ‘98. Sure it’s getting a little harder to find parts in some instances, but still easier to find parts than to troubleshoot emission codes.
