Any truth to the Millis Rumors?

yes you are right they are going to paperless logs but only the drivers with the talking qualcoms will have them. ab did not cut there loads they have a contract for a certain amout of trucks on that contract and they had put to many on there so they were just putting those trucks back over to the regional account.

 

HEy Spank, Dan has already said it, sorry dude but you should be on electronic logs by years end. That was a deciding factor for me to quit, funny how my HIgh Profile got me fired shortly after I stated it. Not that I'm complaining. We had already lost alot of loads from AB, I don't think they will just up and stop using millis, but you gotta admit we were sittin in both weedsport and GA, with the publicity and the fact that AB wants a certain image (Beer sellers want a different image-go figure) you might see even less AB loads yet.

 

yes i know about going to the paperless logs i started on them monday of this week. as of right now only the guys with the talking qualcoms will be on them as the older ones are not capable of doing them. dan said they were not sure if they were going to switch the old qualcoms out or not for right now. i dont know about sitting in weedsport everytime i get up that way as soon as i get mty i have another load already but i dont go up there all the time either like some of the other drivers do.
now as far as sitting in georgia yes we have been sitting down there more than normal but has been like that since before last winter. now ab in georgia in over 5 years working here i have only been to ab there in cartersville about 5 or 6 times just dont go there much.

 

tedrow this is the first week with them and when i get this load to plano tomorrow that will put me at 2500 miles for the week. not to bad so far the biggest problem i have found with them was the other day waiting on another driver to bring me a load to richfeild i was burnuing my hours up while he just took his time getting down there. where he came from was only three hours away and it ended up taking him 5 hours to get there because him and his student decided they had to stop a half hour away and have a nice sit down meal for supper while i was waiting. they said they knew i was down there waiting but they didnt think it would matter if they stopped or not.

 

no i am over the road will they not let the regional guys run the otr loads anymore. they use to when i started when freight got slow down there they would let them do some otr loads to keep them busy if they wanted to

 

nope haven't heard anything about that but i dont ever go to ab down there i usually go up to dalton and load or go to albany and load out.
