Yes I did. I believe that by not crossing the GA line this time I didn't get caught in it. Been kinda nice the last week or so, been doing lots of backroad truckin thru TX, LA, MS and AL.

I am a L/O, what do you think about sending in our trips by the computer???
Something about scanning them into our computers, and emailing them in!!!!!
I was told about the deadhead two weeks ago. So I asked them where are the + loads, and told them I was deadheading, as usual they said I could not do that, so I told them I was deadheading to WV and they could try and find me a load a long the way, they said I could not do that, I said to them, do you or central pay for my fuel? no answer...had a load in 2 minutes!!! If they want to play games I say bring it on, I will play to a point, this is my business, my livelihood. It is worth it to me to pay the fuel to deadhead to where I can get a load and I will do it. A friend of mine is also a L/O and he went in to Americold where he delivered asked them if they had any Central loads not covered, they did, he took it and let dispatch know he had a load, put him on it!!! Dispatch was pissed, I LMAO!!!

Most drivers probably already have a laptop. We would have to buy our own scanners, which im thinking about doing anyway to make my own digital copies of my bills. An internet connection is probably the most expensive part of the equation. It might be a feasable option for a lot of drivers, however I think it should be an option, not a requirement.

:biggrin_25514: I agree, not a requirement, but I have no more room in truck to put a scanner, How big do they think these trucks are? I have my microwave, tv, dvd, and cooler. underbed is food and drink, I have a mac laptop, but I have no room for those big scanners. It is bad enough, I can not get the safety classes on my mac. Mac said it is central who block out Macs browser, Central said who ever made their program for them, Safety is spose to be telling them about the macs, because I do not want to made to buy a new computer, I think if they make it mandatory they should buy the equipment.:biggrin_2559:

At one point, Kraft fleet was going to require a latop, internet, and printe. 1bad was mentioning it on the forums, last fall I think.

I would love scanning to be an option, my co-drv and I are set up for it, minus the scanner right now. I think it would be handier if you have the equipment. Our phones provide our internet, was a $30 one time fee for a program, and no additional charge from the cell phone company. Not an option for everyone, and I'm sure a number of drivers don't have laptops and can't afford them, so making it mandetory would suck. You don't technically have to even have a phone to work for Central, though most everyone does.
