Trucking Jobs in 30 seconds
Every month 400 people find a job with the help of TruckersReport.

And it pushes from both sides.

I need some clarification.
The "16-Hour Short-Haul Exception" applies only to short-haul drivers, yes?
So not 90% of linehaul drivers? -
It applies to most drivers that start and end at the same location every day.Lumper Humper, jmz and Cardfan89 Thank this.
-
Maybe I’m conflating something but IIRC in order to invoke that, you cannot have had any violations in the last 7 days.Lumper Humper and Cardfan89 Thank this.

Here's what I'm going off of.
My hangup is I can't find the words "16 hour exception" anywhere in here where the term doesn't also include the words "short haul." -
Here is a more recent link but same problem

You can use one 16 hour exemption a week, as long as you haven’t laid over earlier in your week, and start and end at the same place every shift. The 16 hour short haul exemption is different. That is for people within a 150 air miles of their yard, and don’t use a logbook.
Cardfan89, MACK E-6 and BoostedTeg Thank this. -
Is there an FMCSA reference for that?
I tried to find one but couldn't, again, apart from the short-haul one. -
True, but it’s basically the same animal as I understand it. Those of us who run under the short haul are log exempt, but we have to turn in a paper one if we invoke the 16 for that day.
