True that!
Couple'a frame rails and most of the drive train I suppose...Volvos have the steel cab (cheesey AND heavy) but other than that...Cheap plastic junk. -
"If it was me id take the W900 or the new international lonestar" but im a fourth generaion truck driver and all we've ever had is KW's to drive and volvos are a good truck also and they got a smooth ride. of course even a pete has a little bit better ride than the trucks we drive in the army.

I drive a pre-production Kenworth T700. It is a very nice truck. As any new truck, a few glitches to work out. However, the space is well appreciated, we stay dry on the inside-unlike the FL Cascadia where we had a waterfall going on, which would result in a dash fire--occassionally--!! Quiet, handles nicely. However, should you buy one, get the Urea tank located on the drivers side. Pilots are not set up for them on the passenger side. Know Pilots, go figure what happens when you have to pull into the last fuel island the opposite way!!! -
We have them starting to arrive in the yard in the last week. Got to crawl thru one just for S&G.
Looks virtually identical to my T2000 inside.
I like the wide body inside. That's the one thing about the 660 I don't like is the more cramped feeling like the 900s.
I like the space to live in. -
The Kenworth tour came through town last week so I went to have a look. Definitely a lot roomier in the cab area of the T700 compared to a T660. They improved the dash also.

People who bash your truck are probably still driving a car with a steel bumper and no crumple zones are safter than the plastic "junk" cars today, which were designed to absorb impact. It's a nice truck...It's been about a year since you posted the pics... how'd it turn out?
