Looks like I'll have a little bit more time off than expected. Higher ups got me moved to MWR and Matt called me yesterday to chat and see what was happening. He told me freight looked pretty light this weekend, so i elected to just go out on Monday instead of Saturday or Sunday. I didn't want to really sit around the house doing nothing for 4-5 days but I won't complain too much. Plus this gets me off the weird schedule ive been on for the past couple weeks.
First impressions were good as well. Matt asked if I preferred to be called or just sent the load info whenever he got it and I said to call me. I have a tendency to not look at the notifications on my phone for hours but despite that I almost always answer my phone when someone calls me, assuming it's from a number I actually recognize or expecting a call fromFriend, Knucklehead, DonRobbie and 1 other person Thank this. -
Just curious do you get assigned fuel routes or do you just kind of go where you wantFriend Thanks this.

He’s a lease op so I would assume that he fuels where he wants to since he’s paying for it.

Thinking about buying a new or newer Toyota Camry in the distant future because i like stuff that doesn't break and lasts a long time. Went to apparently the only dealer in town that had one (2023 base LE model) and asked a salesman if I could sit in it to make sure my 6'8 ### could fit behind the wheel.
And guess what, I do. There could be a tiny bit more headroom but there's good legroom but I'll sacrifice a bit of the former for more of the latter every day.
I love the cars i drive now but the newest one is 14 years old. They get decent mileage for what they are (my 03 Crown Vic gets 23-24 or so on the highway), but the Camry I sat in gets in the mid to high 30's on the highway, and it's not even the Hybrid one. The only new vehicle I would even consider buying would be a Toyota product. And a car works just fine. I don't need an SUV or pickup that costs a kidney and 2 of your children. The car i looked at costs a whopping 23k, not 50-60k or betterLast edited: Aug 15, 2025
