There's probably better things to do with $300k if the goal is to turn it into even more money, unless you just want to own a truck and be a truck driver, which is fine. But it's hard these days to clear any more money as an owner-op after all expenses compared to what a decent paid company driver ends up paying taxes on. I know that's a little bit apples and oranges and the market can swing up for spot market owner-ops where $10,000 weeks are possible when it's hot, but don't bother right now if getting rich quick is the idea. It's cheap right now.
Advice. All welcome, box truck or semi?

At 26 having hefty savings means you are doing something right. Why bother with something that can drain all that in a day? Keep or doing what makes it easy going and have a chill and peaceful life. Trucking is more for the freedom seeking people now, not the get rich as it used to be. I'd stay away with that much cash in the bank.

You won’t make much doing box truck. I used to do refrigerated pharmaceuticals in a box truck and it was tough. If you want to buy semi and trailer cash, than consider doing flatbed. Van and reefer freight currently doesn’t pay enough to make such a big investment…you need to know how to bust your ### off tho. Also experience in industry is something you don’t have. 2 years of experience would be a great benefit for you to see how things work.
