Works until it doesn't. Late deliveries and derailments will drive the traffic back to the highways.

 

I'm pretty sure that we'll have a few years til autonomous trucks take the final mile. They'll probably take over the OTR jobs long before they corner the local markets.

 

I think it'll be a really long time before autonomous trucks rule. They gotta change the whole infrastructure to make that happen. I'm thinking none of us will be around to see that change.

 

Like watching a video game. I wonder how it works with the air glad hands in different positions on different makes of trailers?
