Just about to roll out of Fremont. Had to grab more trip sheets and report a bad trailer i grabbed in Valley to Eric in the shop. Also apparently Shane needed my truck to replace a bent side skirt that the previous driver evidently caused, so i used that time to grab a much needed shower and get my APU serviced. No emptys here in the yard so Matt told me just to bobtail back up to Sioux City. I'm probably quite aways behind you, and I only go like 64, at least according to my GPS lmao

Saw something you don't see everyday. Nearing Council Bluffs and I had two Iowa state troopers and a sheriff's deputy passed me within a minute of each other, and they were hauling ###. Got to the north side of town right across the river from the airport and saw 7-8 police cruisers stopped, and officers pointing shotguns and assault rifles at a car. 1/4 mile down the highway there was another state trooper with spike strips set up. Then I proceeded to see 5 Council Bluffs police cruisers hauling ### the other direction towards the scene.

Something tells me that was more than just any ol police chase

 

To follow up on my apu issue, the shop had to replace the alternator on the unit.

Sounds like perp was eventually shot by police and then rushed to the hospital by ambulance

Stopped by the jail...maybe he was just trying to cut down on the towing and impound fees because he knew he was going to jail..."just trying to help out the 5-0, and I get shot for my assistance"

 

Can't wait for my vacation here in a couple months. I need my yearly retreat away from anything work or truck related.

I'll be taking a couple weeks off to go up to the U.P. of Michigan to visit family. It'll be the first week of November which isn't the most ideal. It'll be cold and dreary most likely but it is what it is.

This year I'll just be driving there and back. No flying or anything crazy like that
