Yes. And a motel that was torn down was originally Rt 66. I would pay to park in Deming. I have found much better neighbors in paid parking. I park in Willcox at the old truck stop or in Eloy. Would you have parking for Oversize?

Im deming there is hardly a need for that in my humble opinion.. the petro always has a spot and even some good on ramps to park in that area... Not trying to burst your bubble just saying it probably be hard to get people to pay if theres all kinds of free options

Absolutely. You guys have the hardest time finding safe places to stop and rest. How much space you need?

Your logic is valid, and accurate. With cargo theft rising, and lots of high value loads in that lane, the concept is offering a secure place so you don’t have to worry about those risks and problems, and can rest easy.

Why Deming ? Is it home or preferred place. Or just a spot you found to seems to court a dream ? The idea itself is good, but i question the area as profitable and think other areas would generate more ( louisville, cincinati, etc) unless Deming is homebase or you would like it to be

It’s where the property is located.
Knowing there’s ample high value loads passing through that corridor, we figured security was a need and a safe secure location to provide that would be attractive.
It would have showers on site and good food next door. Once we figure out a solid pattern for traffic, I’d probably do a roach coach idea, fresh cooked food to order on site at fair prices.
The overriding focus being a place drivers want to stop at because it’s both convenient, beneficial, and comfortable.

What made my judgement was rhe fact there is ample parking in the area. Even walmart has truckspots in Deming. A large capital investment indeed. Best of luck

If you are offering a secure lot, you could try to find contacts with trucking companies running that area, warehouses in the area or even brokers, everyone is always looking for secure areas for drivers to park or trailer spotting.
