Never more than a hour and a half a day.
Move your butt into the sleeper and save your hours no need to run out

Ummmm, never. I used to log hours loading a vac tanker, was pulled over for an inspection. DOT officer told me to put it off duty when I was loading, I was burning up my hours. Now I am sure not all DOT officers see it his way but, no problems yet!

Yep that 3 feet makes a huge difference. You can do anything in the sleeper while waiting that you could do from the drivers seat. The only time I don't log sleeper is when the plant makes me wait in a break room or during unloads that require my pump or compressor. Those go on line 4.JustSonny Thanks this.

I've been on line 1 since last August.

one half hour for loading or tarping etc fifteen minutes for fuel other than that all down time is spent off duty or sleeper birth..

State of Maine requires you to log waiting time as on duty.
I was called to the carpet on that one. Thankfully it was a company that informed me and not DOT.

Most DOT know it takes longer than 15 minutes to load and unload. They also understand that most places we go to don't allow us on the docks. When EOBR's become mandatory for everyone that'll change.

Just on the last load I had, I waited over 6 hours between load and unload...over 4 hours to load when it was supposed to be a drop & hook, and another 2 hours at the Wal-Mart DC in Cullman, AL...
I've been waiting where I'm currently at for 34 hours.....does that count? LOLJustSonny Thanks this.
