Which length is the best to have as far as being able to run in all states?
I've noticed in the atlas that there is quite a few states that don't allow 53' trailers or you can only run on certain roads. This is for a dry van or reefer.
Thanks in advance.

Most freight of a decent weight needs to be loaded like a 48', so unless you're gonna be pulling loads that cube out before they scale out (like potato chips or something similarly light), my personal choice would be a 48' over the 53'.

Dry van - 53
Reefer - 48 will work most of the time -
How do you get by running the states that don't allow them? Example, Tennessee.

What year atlas are ya looking at?

It's a 2010

Tennessee's rule on this is 50' from the center of the kingpin to the rear of the trailer (or load), not 50' overall like the atlas says.

Ok thanks. I'll make a note of that.

Yeah, Josh is right, all states allow a 53'

Thank you for all the replies.
