I would’ve expected a GMC Crackerbox to be somewhere in the mix!

KW model one never existed. That would be a Gersix truck. The model pictured was either a 524 or a 924. They should not have left Indiana Truck Company out. An Indiana was the first with a Cummins and the first with a diesel period. Tested the Indy speedway. Then a half dozen went to KW to be put in trucks built for a west coast grocery store chain. Every Pete fan knows about the 351. If it wasn’t for it there would be no 359. They should have talked about the last 1936 chain drive Fageol. Cracker boxes were the only GMC’s with cabs made from aluminum. That is why you don't see but a few hundred of the million they built left. Scrap prices were good.

Autocar trucks would have been the first with spicer universal joints and the new fangled AC spark plugs.

This is the one that caught my attention. I love the truck and I have to admit I was amazed to see there were drivers in that good of shape at one time. Compare that to a 450 pound flip flop wearing man in sweat pants heaving himself into a Cascadia and you realize trucking isn’t what it used to be.
Grumppy Thanks this. -
