Priced out an on/off switch at Napa/O'Reilly's lately?

11$ at amazon gets you the relay plus the keyfob control

Some of us drivers can't be touching switches anymore with the forward facing AI cameras, it's a driver distracted event.

    We can't even smoke cigarettes.

The only issue I have with the one in my car is if I leave my car running and walk away with my phone, Carplay will turn off, and then it won't turn back on when I get back in my car. But this issue is resolved by holding the power button which fully reboots the infotainment. I just wish the truck had a similar way to reboot. I'm not asking for perfection I'm just asking for a way to work around the software bugs.

The issue with this is we lease trucks from Ryder and they don't even let us replace our own turn signal/headlight bulbs. They are a great company and always treat us well, they just don't want drivers doing anything mechanical with their trucks. Which is totally understandable to be honest.

Have you checked with Freightliner or Ryder to see if there is a software update available?
