Some of us drivers can't be touching switches anymore with the forward facing AI cameras, it's a driver distracted event.
We can't even smoke cigarettes. -
The only issue I have with the one in my car is if I leave my car running and walk away with my phone, Carplay will turn off, and then it won't turn back on when I get back in my car. But this issue is resolved by holding the power button which fully reboots the infotainment. I just wish the truck had a similar way to reboot. I'm not asking for perfection I'm just asking for a way to work around the software bugs.
The issue with this is we lease trucks from Ryder and they don't even let us replace our own turn signal/headlight bulbs. They are a great company and always treat us well, they just don't want drivers doing anything mechanical with their trucks. Which is totally understandable to be honest. -
Have you checked with Freightliner or Ryder to see if there is a software update available?
plant Thanks this. -
Thanks I'll ask about that next time I'm there
