They pass me all the time...In construction zones and going downhill and sometimes going uphill when I'm loaded heavy and they're in a rush to get that load of toilet paper or styrofoam cup to their destination on time.
But usually they pass me in truckstop parking lots at high speed while hurrying to get that coveted parking spot at the fuel island or next to the scale so they can waddle in and show off their dirty sweat pants and graze at the buffet after taking a dump and not washin' their hands first.
Of course...I don't let these things get to me because these are times when I don't mind being passed and they give me a couple of good reasons not to eat the buffet.JustSonny and truckerdave1970 Thank this. -

I think the RV'er is the ignorant one, I run in to this problem every day, I'm governed at 65 as well but I'm not just going to sit there and never attempt to pass. If I check my surroundings and don't see any trucks coming up my way, I'll get out there and do my best to pass, granted there are times when trucks run up on me, but if Mr. RV'er would kindly back out of it a bit, especially when my blinker with my intentions to get back over has been on for over a mile, it would help the situation out greatly. Now if Swifty jumped out in front of you knowingly, shame on him, but you did say that this went on for 3 miles, it's not inconceivable that within those 3 miles you caught up to him and just lost your patience. Maybe just another way to look at it........

Sorry....But if you're taking 3 miles to pass someone, You should have stayed behind them!
These guys runnig governed trucks have no business trying to pass when the speed difference is that slight. You wanna talk about MR RV'er being inconsiderate for not slowing down?
Why should he? He was running at that speed in the right lane and the idiot in the Swift truck decided that he just couldn't stand to not get that extra 1/2 MPH so he gets out there and blocks the highway for 3 mile....For what?
!/2 MPH? Give me a break!
It's like when I'm running along with the C/C set at 75 and I pull out to pass some guy and he speeds up...It's rude and unproffessional and shows me what a mental weakling you are that you just can't stand to let another truck pass you to the point that you will change the way you were already running just to prevent it.ThatTruckerFrom305 and JustSonny Thank this.
