I can’t really pin the blame for that washout problem on him though. I’d say he has a legitimate gripe there. People need to learn to get their #### together.

Pulling a reefer always requires more babysitting than the dry van world.

Call the hartwell location. I talked to them and decided not to even fill out an app. They even asked the guy I know there if I was going to. The last guy just started a few weeks ago. This truck hasnt come in yet but I was told today it would be here soon.hope not dumb twucker Thanks this.

If I had known that things weren't all that better from the last time I was here, I wouldn't have come back. But I was told that there have been a lot of improvements, which I have only seen intermittently, not consistently, so it's not just the ebb and flow of the freight cycle, it's the disorganization of the people in the office running things. And I doubt that ever changes.
And I doubt a penny raise after the 1st year is gonna make that much of a difference. At best, $1350-1400 gross.
And the micromanaging I am constantly bringing up is the subtle reminders we all get on how to do our job. They remind us how to do everything except breathe and wipe our ###...I used to say walk and breathe, but the Presidents have taken it upon themselves to instruct the grown adults that drive here the proper way to walk on slick surfaces, like we've never done it before.Last edited: Sep 30, 2025

If they want reefers dropped half full of fuel, fine. Not gonna save them one dime because they need to burn fuel to keep the freight cool whether it's hooked to a truck or sitting at a customer. Plus, as disorganized as Op's tends to be, trailers are sitting at shippers running and waiting to be picked up. And it also depends on how new the trailer is, what kind of freight and how hot it is outside. I had an ice cream load on an 839### that ran wide open most of the time and it burned a lot of fuel. I doubt the Einstein that programs the fuel stop program doesn't take any of that into account when it tells you where to fuel a reefer. Just another hand we have to hold while they tell us how to do our job. This company is getting to be an utter joke. Why anyone would recruit another driver to this mess is beyond me.Friend, hope not dumb twucker, Lonesome and 2 others Thank this.

But, things like that can, and do, happen at other companies. He expects perfection in an imperfect world. He's never going to find it. We don't live in a perfect world. You'd think someone his age would've figured that out by now.ElmerFudpucker, Speedy356, hope not dumb twucker and 2 others Thank this.
