On track machines the big wheel at the front is called the idler. The other end folks call the sprocket or final drive. The little "wheels" between the sprocket and idler are called track rollers. The little ones up top are called carrier rollers since they carry the track across the top of the track frame. The track itself consists of the chain and the track shoes/pads that are bolted to it.

Good on you for securing it properly.

I may have come across as a bit harsh in earlier posts only because I hate seeing people hurt the market unintentionally even if they mean well. I understand wanting to move up and improve your situation and I wish you the best in doing that.

The fact that you thought to ask questions on this forum and to the guy where you loaded already shows you have more potential for success that the large majority of drivers on the road. You have taken the advice given and listened to some of it.

You said you were over on your drives. Did you try moving the machine? Do you have scales on your tractor and trailer? Even if they are just pressure guages you can start keeping track of what they read compared to scale weights and make yourself a bit of a cheatsheet going forward.

Consider keeping a notebook or a notes file on your phone with measurements and weights for each load you do. Especially for heavy equipment that you will probably haul the same model again. Once you figure out the correct placement for weight with something like that excavator measure from one end of the track to the end of the trailer well. That way next time you load that model you can just put a piece of tape or something on the deck where the end of the track should go and then you dont have to spend time moving it around after loading .

    Load it boom forward

just make sure you get it tucked in for height.

you have a long well and it is small machine.
Make sure you put a block or outrigger board under the knuckle so it does punch a hole in your deck

Back to the original question- does that trailer have a flip neck? What's the swing radius?

Arrived at truck stop and checked cat scale. I was over 3k on drives. Fueled up and parked and reworked the load. Remove all securement and resecure load. Checked cat scale in the morning and was over 1700. Didn’t check night before. Didn’t want to lose parking spot and reworked the load again. This time I got it right. Took pic of where the load needs to be on my trailer. All photos attached.
I do plan on keeping all notes. I will use all suggestions. Not here to reinvent the wheel. Much appreciated.

Yes. But I adjusted the weight and was legal. GA to TN. My load to Alabama canceled. Sucks. It was a great load.

It has a flip neck. A box. But wouldn’t I need a forklift to flip the neck? I haven’t figured out the swing radius. I will soon. Any easy way to figure it out?
