You're right that the license didn't just become invalid, but there are a bunch of people on this forum that think it did. Just like a bunch of people think Oklahoma nabbed 100+ illegal CDL drivers. Whose to say OK SHP and ICE aren't reading things the way they want to?

However I wasn't clear - the sudden change I referenced was the ending of temporary protected status. Many of those affected don't understand they are no longer legal until they show up at a scheduled check in.

 

Many cultures have mono-names. SE Asia, Polynesia, and some African tribes are the main ones I know about. Typically the name's structure indicates family lineage in some way. The single name is the second redacted bar.

Fun fact - OK has a policy for this in place. For those crying about claims of racism- this is why. Making a cultural trait that has a long history of accommodation into a point of ridicule or criminality. . .

Those drivers are not illegal from carriers stand point. They have drivers license and social security/work permit.

 

I drive coast to coast every week and I’ve been screaming about it a couple of times on here. Literally on one trip almost got sideswiped six times by drivers on their phone with their feet up on the dash. These are not legal drivers. I also go for walks around the truckstop every single night or every single time I stop. It’s part of my routine and the crap. I’m seeing out. Here is unreal. It’s dangerous, it’s scary and it needs to come to an end. Glad they’re finally doing something about it. I’ve seen five guys crawl out of a single truck before with air, hissing out of it bald tires, and duct tape holding the bumper on. You can’t make this stuff up if you try.

 

You are spot on. I wish that border was still open so the hard workers could get here and do these jobs the lazy white american dont want to. These asylum seekers are just trying to support their families. Who cares if they are breaking the law. Right.
