I'd be hung up on the first piece of gravel I came across. @AFC's clearance pics scare me.

Hey @AFC, maybe get rid of this thread and post in an ongoing thread for advice.
Maybe the post flatbed pics here thread.

You know which guys have experience, and your thread here is enticing more to do the same.

I'd ask a mod to delete it, or start talking politics.

Not really! Luckily I've had over 4 years of flatbed load securement and oversize experience. Luckily I'm leased on to an established company that has an extensive broker network. Also, I saw on one of my rate cons that the broker shipper required over $200k cargo insurance: I'm not sure I would be able to afford that in the beginning. Basically, a lot of luck, being humble and seeking advice and getting answers wherever I can get them will be the key to my success in RGN. I wish you good loads and experiences. I haven't had a chance to look at you, but your username gives the impression that your deep into heavy haul or heavy flatbed work.

Only 3 rgns in our company but like 200 flatbeds and stepdecks between the two companies: Universe Carrier and Timeline Transportation. Good company but nothing out of the ordinary like Loves Fuel Hauling.

    Sadly, that is not “phenomenal”

200k in cargo is woefully inadequate for doing specialized work.

That’s what I’m saying. If you don’t know what cheap is then you don’t know what’s phenomenal. And I don’t do stretch freight like Ron or Blair but I don’t think 6-7 bucks a mile is phenomenal. If it is then I will never do stretch freight
