Does this even sound legit? Towing a glider plane full of freight?

    Now, if a cargo plane is towing a cargo glider, then it makes sense. You know, pulling doubles. If it just a empty plane towing a cargo glider, it's a waste. And i can't see the FAA approving passenger planes towing cargo gliders.

    There were a lot of gliders used on June 6, 1944 at Normandy transporting troops and some equipment.

    Indeed. US and British forces extensively used gliders towed by C-47s during D-Day,which helped contributed to the victory in Europe.
