1. Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

I recently moved to northern New Hampshire, I can not find a company that will hire me this far north. I was hoping someone on here may have some experience with this area. I am a recent graduate of truck driving school with no OTR experience. I have been driving dump trucks most of my life. I am looking to go OTR and only need to be home every 3 weeks. I have tried all the large companies with no luck even though I see them coming through my town weekly. thanks for any help. I do not have internet at my house so I cannot respond quickly, I have to drive to staples to get online.

Western Express hauls alot of freight (mostly Maine) and hires green drivers. Beware tho, their directions are terrible.

I see a lot of trucks coming out of Maine from Pottles Transportation. I'm from NH as well looking for work. Problem with me is that I have a 10-year break in driving so I'm worse than a newbie right now. TMC declined to let me apply to them for that reason. Additionally, NH seems to be like Florida with one-way loads unless you haul for Wal-Mart or some such. If I had access to a truck I could probably haul sheetrock out of GP in Newington but even their production is down.

    Best of luck to you.

Any advice from the forum would be appreciated.
