Picked up a CHR load from Savannah Thursday night. Had to wait 3 and a half hours after leaving the last delivery to get the load. Now sitting for 50+ hours waiting for a Monday delivery. I might get paid for a half day. And no they haven't sent the next load yet. This not getting a load until after delivering the current load on multiple loads now is garbage. Especially when they've had two days plus on each load to figure it out.
Friend, hope not dumb twucker and DonRobbie Thank this. -
Sounds like it’s getting to be like 2008 again. I was working for a 15 truck flatbed company that ran the northwest. We were home weekends and had an 8 month stretch where there was at least one truck sitting for a day with no loads. I left home one Sunday and delivered in Seattle on a Monday morning. Went out to North Bend and parked. Thursday I finally had a load that delivered in Bozeman on Friday. Then I reloaded in Missoula and went home for the weekend.
Friend, hope not dumb twucker, rokue and 3 others Thank this. -
So did anyone else see the three trucks in the Center Median west of Columbia, MO?
All were eastbound and all within like a 1/3 miles or so. Two stayed upright and the middle one laid over. All seemed to have been restrained by the center cabling. All seemed to be in the same “stage” of recovery too. No drivers on site, no emergency vehicles, but no recovery started yet.
I had to wonder if I missed a local Ice Storm from the day before.Friend and Knucklehead Thank this. -
I didn't go that way but that doesn't surprise me at all. Too much bs happens on that road and all the construction doesn't help. I avoid it when possibleFriend Thanks this.

Ya I came out Wednesday had a 600 mile load followed by a 60 mile run.. then 7 hours waiting on the shop to finish my truck, then a 177 mile run with a live unload, Then Friday picked up in aurora a 400 mile run to Walmart live unload then had to drop an empty in Tulsa, then... pick up a load 44 miles away someone left at their house. and 370 mile run with a live unload in Dallas tomorrow. Getting old pretty quick. Thinking of jumping over to reefer or something.Last edited: Oct 12, 2025

Many want to squeeze you dry. And sometimes, they want nothing to do with your money. They want to do as little as possible for max return.
I needed an architect to draw up plans for an extension for our house. Can't find ANYONE to take our money. Same with widening our culvert and putting down asphalt on our driveway. Oh, and doing a little extra for landscapers. They want none of it. Greed and laziness are alive and well in America.Friend and hope not dumb twucker Thank this. -
I see your channel 67 and raise you a channel 70

I've had no problems with miles on MWR. Matt always keeps me preplanned and informed of what's going on. I can't think of one time I've sat around without a load since I moved to his board a couple months ago. Just from a communication standpoint he's worlds better than any dispatcher I've ever had. Definitely takes a lot of stress off my plate
Friend Thanks this.
