I have a Volvo so I use Volvo shops only for repairs on the road also I use the Volvo shop close to my home for anything that can wait till I get home. I have a local shop that I get to do my PM's and genral repairs I know the owner very well. I don't trust just anybody with my truck. I allso buy all my tires from a local tire shop that I have delt with for a long time and get a good deal.I just don't trust truck stop shops and quick change lube joints.

Terrys on Hwy 45 in West Point Ms was great. Was in Macon Ms approx 70 miles S of Westpoint. Tranny wouldn't shift to high side. Terrys sent a wrecker (I left the trailer in Macon) and towed me back to West Point. The Mechanic and I Pulled the rear of the tranny out after first taking the top of through the floorboard, It's a metric, replaced a snap ring and had it back together in 3.5 hours. Total bill $550. I thought this was great, especially counting the Tow. He could have milked it for alot more but the mech busted his ### and said that most shops would have pulled the entire tranny instead of taking the top off through the floorboard. They were all around great guys and one of the few that let me get in there and help out.
HwyPilot Thanks this. -
I stopped at Maggoi's a shop behind the truck stop at the Baxter Rd exit just south of Rockford ,IL the other day. Nice little place.
I had a light problem on the trailer and he had me fixed in about an hour. I like smaller shops that get it done right the first time.HwyPilot Thanks this. -
There is a small shop in London, KY on I-75 (exit 41). It is about 2 miles off the interstate going West on RT 80. Very easy to get to. So if you are ever in that area and need something done (brakes, tires, lights, leaks, alternators, etc...) just give them a call and they will try and get you rolling again. Phone #606-682-0656. Hourly rate is $50.00 a hour.

If you breakdown around the Portland, OR metro area call Pat at Independent Diesel Service, 503.312.0271. He's quick, honest, fair, mobile, and knows what he's doing. We're local, and have been using him for 4 years plus. Never had to have him come back on anything he's ever worked on. He's on the NTTS site.
