no check engine light. might be a vaccum leak, the mechanic is going to diagnose the problem and do a complete tune up and check the egr valve

Jess's mustang has the 4.6L my 91 i sold had the 5.0L they started putting the 4.6L in the late 95 models.

While were on cars.. I've got a 96 lincoln mark 8.. It has the 4.6l dual over head cam 24 valve motor.. Pretty much a cobra motor before there were cobra motors.. I need a set of 17 inch mustang gt rims.. Anyone got any? Its a good runner.. Has 267 thousand on it.. And still catches second gear with trac controll off..

With central sending me poor.. I haven't paid on it for a year and 3 months.. for some reason tho.. The guy hasn't come and got it.. I owe 700 on it.. Need to pay it off..

But anyways.. On the gmc.. I'd say a vacum leak or it has throttle body injection? Ever tried sea foaming the thing? If its a 4.3 their bad about gummin up in the tb and not wanting to run right.. Just sea foam it a few times and see how that does...

Also.. How much we wanting on that explorer? Want a w9? Ill let ya take over payment and give you a cb to boot... Hahahaha!! Seriously tho.. How much?

Just a FYI for you all, Central is not going with trans flow or trip pak scanning. They are trying to get US to PAY FOR OUR OWN scanners to keep in the truck & send them the paperwork at the end of the trip.

So that would be a laptop, internet card + subscription (if you don't already have those) & scanner / printer out of the DRIVERS pocket!

    laptop=check
    cellphone with internet=check
scanner/printer=guess i could use the one from home.

if youi going to be buying a internt card. buy a phone instead. internet is cheaper. and you can buy programs that allow tethering so you don't have to pay for the phone as a modem internet plan. that's the cheaper way over b uy ing a internet card. your phone works every bit as good as those cards.

windows mobile, palm, blackberry, android phones. now if you have an iphone. i feel sorry for ya. since apple controls what you can and can't do.

i have a sprint blackberry. internet is included in the plan. and the program i use to tether my phone cost $15. so i don't have to pay for the phone as a modem plan. next month sprint comes out with a new phone that has it's own wifi capability. and it'll be the new 4g service starting to roll out.

    #### i'm drooling. can't wait for that baby.

So what kind of programs do you buy to tether and what does it take? Would love to save myself $70 a month and get rid of my air card. Gotta have 1 of them hi tech phones or will any of them work? Beginning to think that Verizon is not very well represented in the south. Finding alot of their 1x down here instead of the broadband.

Hmmmm, wonder just how many Bud plants are in the US? Have been to 4 different ones. Picked up a tlr full in Jacksonville, FL this morning and they dang sure loaded it to the max!!! 45k +. Taking it to Waco.

Am in Grand Bay, AL if anyone else is here. Have 0 hrs left on my 70. Got 7 I can use tomorrow so you KNOW, I'm going to get a good nights sleep!! Need it to after all that night running I've been doing. Just can't sleep well during the days for some reason.

Well JJ left this morning he has a load from Boise ID to Coxsackie NY 2500 the 99 is at 0500 on the 16Th, so that leaves him enough time to get another 1000 miles in for the week!!

He took the Fatboy with him :biggrin_2553: I think Mookie is depressed she has no ones ear to lick and we miss the fatboy already!

you'll have to do a google for phone tethering. there is a program at www.junefabrics.com that works on all smart phones. it's the program i use but i think the price has gone up since i purchased it. i was using it on my windows mobile phone 5 years ago. transfered it over when i upgraded to the palm windows phone. but had to repurchase for my blackberry. looking at the price now, it's $29.

all i can tell you is that there are a few programs available for windows mobile, android, palm, blackberry, and looks like iphone also. those phones can't be bought without internet on the phone plan now. so your going to automatically have internet. any other phone and you'll just have to google your phone and see if it's possible.

i pay $70 a month for my blackberry sprint. unlimited internet, gps, text messaging and mobile minutes to any phone any carrier. i've had sprint for 10 years now. and was using my phone as a modem when the technology just came out and i just got my cdl 8 years ago. it was just a basic phone back then. but i have never paid more then $70. although that looks to be changing when sprints new 4g phone comes out. gonna cost for that service and gonna cost more if i want to use the phone as a mobile wifi hotspot.

I have no idea how much I am going to sell the Explorer for. I have not looked up what they are worth lately.
Plus I need to find a replacement lol.
    Thinking 80-84 F-Series, unless I find a good deal on a 1947-53 Chevy soon.
I also have a few electrical things I need to fix on the explorer before I can sell it.
The thermostat for interior temp is bad, so will not moderate temp properly for heat and AC, and I have 2 door locks that will not lock, only unlock. So I need to order replacement parts for them.
Cannot see selling it not in perfect condition. Detracts to much from the value if I do.
