You have to appear to be very professional. And you only have about 30 seconds to catch our attention, or else, we'll think it's some scheister scam. Remember, we get approached all the time for "the deal of the century". Most insurance sales are word of mouth. One suggestion would be to have your vehicle painted up fancy with name of company etc. Next, try to be in the same location every day. That way, drivers get used to seeing you whenever they come through and realize you are not just some "fly by night scam artist".

Maybe rent space like a CB shop or a knife sharpening/cell phone kiosk setup.

Have you thought about taking out an ad in a high circulation trucking related publication? Maybe get in touch with O.O.I.D.A and see about taking out an ad in their magazine ''Landline..'' Owner operators are your ''target'' customers. They cater to owner operators. Here's a link for them.http://www.landlinemag.com/Advertising/advertising.html -Depending on your budget, maybe you can take out a radio spot on Sirius/XM radio. They have a HUGE trucking audience..
Or you can see about setting up a website or perhaps, even advertising here.Lot's of owner operators here too..
Best wishes.. -
I automatically assume anyone trying to sell me something in a truckstop is a rip-off artist. -
And get a web site.
