I think Werner recognizes experience within the last 5 years when I inquired. They might make you do a 1-2 week refresher with a trainer to make sure you didn’t forget.

If you had 1 year in the last 3, Climate Express would have hired you very quickly out of Oklahoma City. Used to, they'd hire you with your credentials. You're experience would have overlapped the time off. Now insurances have shifted. 3 years is definitely the magic number nowadays.

I was in a similar situation as yours and magnum gave me a chance and it didn’t work out there and I went over to Pride out of Salt Lake City and I highly recommend them. Not your typical reefer outfit.

As if local driving were easier than OTR. What a joke. Local driving requires way more skill.

Seems like that's what everyone says about where they're currently working. .. why is it not "your typical reefer outfit."

I just felt like I didn’t have long wait times in the dock and they have accounts with a lot of places so I didn’t have to worry about getting po for lumpers every single time. They fuel at pilot and they will give suggestions in your dispatch but you can fuel when and where you want as long as it’s a pilot.

Terminal is great. There is always someone in the shop dat or night and they always got me out fast. Plus terminal is in a great location. Target and Walmart in walking distance but they do have a company vehicle.

Crete is one of the better OTR outfits out there and we are still in a contractionary period with freight/capacity. I see you're from Arkansas, did you ever try JM Bozeman? They've got nice equipment, not sure about the pay though.. They do hazmat so should be a bit higher. All The Best!!

I’m actually living in Oklahoma now.

I worked for crete on their paper mill account for 2 years. By far the best company i’ve drove for. Especially in regard of the team that handles that account.
