Ok, this sounds too good to be true.

I think it depends on where you live in terms of the difficulty getting on. Where is stay, it's very difficult. Everyone wants those jobs, and nobody leaves. Me personally, I'm certainly not chasing LTL. I'm one of those oddballs that likes OTR lol

I have days where I can certainly see the appeal. But I just can’t wrap my head around the idea of staying away for weeks.

Nothing wrong with that. If you're happy then that's all that matters.

    austinmike Thanks this.

    IT'S A TRAP! FALSE ADVERTISEMENT!
US Xpress might finally be on it's last leg if they're willing to pay those rates. It's Celadon all over again. I was teaming with US Xpress and the most I made in a week during my stint there was $1400, family. I was a fool for settling for .65 cents a mile split in the first place. It didn't take me long to find out that they don't pay worth a ####. I had over a decade worth of driving experience and they were constantly trying to nickel and dime me. I worked from the beginning of June 2025 to early July 2025. The company is filled with a bunch of con-artists. Dispatch will lie and pull loads from under you constantly. Teams are priority and we weren't making a much money for our hardwork. The terminals were filled with drivers who were just sitting for days, either waiting days for loads or broken down. Please don't believe the hype at all. You will suffer there. You will not appreciate the experience... unless you're into being punished on a sadistic level w/ no compensation.

Thanks, that's exactly why I asked about this offer. I'm just trying to find a somewhat decent company that will hire a new guy like me right out of school and give me the experience I need to possibly get a better job later on.

    austinmike and BrothaTrucka513 Thank this.

Exactly. You won’t get crap for miles in that part of the county. Hell, $1.00/mi wouldn’t be out of the question strictly running NE regional. Overnight parking is a nightmare usually every night also and good luck getting them to cover the cost of a paid spot. I know, I’ve done it.

I am 99% sure this guy has ran the northeast. He clearly and concisely summed it up.
