Most carriers east of the Mississippi that hire will say they cannot promise western runs, they are not a travel agent. You my want to look for western 11 state regional carriers. I would not east of the Mississippi river unless they go west mostly.

Thanks guys, I have a lot of options to consider.

Also, I've already worked for FCC before. They are a great company and I liked working for them. However, they have Carrier APUs. I liked them when I worked there. I was dead set on going back to work for them again but I heard a new model of Carrier APU came out so I did some research on them out of curiosity and found out it has a minimum temp of 65° so that's a dealbreaker for me. I'm like a polar bear. I'm big, fat, white, and I like the cold. I need that thing to go down to 60. Plus I'd have to run in their regional division in order to stay out of the East Coast. I want to do longer hauls. Their OTR division has a lot of loads going east though.

Too bad you only want dry van, or reefer -- I think that Western Dairy Transport would keep you west of the Mississippi virtually all of the time.

No hazmat needed -- all food-grade tanker duty.

Unless I'm misinformed, Crete/Shaffer does not have APUs, right?

Stevens Trucking, not the training company out of Texas. These folks are out of El Reno, across from the Loves. I had a trainee that went to them 2 years after I trained him and he’s been there for 5 years.
